In 2019, David Marston and Phil Celeste (Life on Planets) embarked on a trip to Colombia that culminated in a music-making session with Medellin’s own Dudu Bembe. During this time, the three musicians were greatly inspired by mysticism, shamanic rituals, and the majesty of nature. The result of this creative gathering was “LMK”, a psychedelic dance track that combines influences from house music, Afrobeats, and cumbia. The track is characterized by plucked guitar lines, deep sub-bass, bubbling African-influenced percussion, and suave vocals by Life on Planets. “LMK” is out via Kindness of Bearer Recordings on June 17th, 2022.
